Alleged killers of nuclear scientist arrested in Iran
Iranian authorities have arrested several people suspected of murdering nuclear physicist Mustafa Ahmadi Roshan, Agence France-Presse reported.
According to the Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani, the investigators failed to collect and analyze evidence, which helped to find the criminals. He added that the investigation is still ongoing.
The speaker did not specify any exact number of those arrested, their occupations or national origin and citizenship.
Earlier, Iranian authorities have blamed American, British and Israeli intelligence agencies for this murder, and one of the leading newspapers of the country urged the government of Iran to avenge the death of the scientist.
Larijani said that Tehran must take revenge on the killers, but to use methods "not related to terrorism". "We will punish the Zionist regime without doubt, to make it realized that such actions will not stay unanswered", he warned, Lenta.ru reported.
The lecturer of Polytechnic University Mustafa Ahmadi Roshan was killed Wednesday morning during a car bomb explosion in Tehran. According to police, a magnetic bomb was attached to his car by unknown motorcyclist. It was reported that 32-year-old Ahmadi Roshan served as deputy director of commerce at the nuclear facility in Natanz.
