Kudrin told about financing Chechnya
Program of financing Chechnya must be fulfilled, the former Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said, RIA Novosti reported.
"The situation with Chechnya is special. I'm working all these years also over the programs on Chechnya. Sometimes they can be formed during tough debate, since we have analized the damage to Chechnya, the measures to be taken. I have a letter to Kadyrov that if we agree on a certain level of funding that we send him, then after that they get into the terms of the usual subjects of the Russian Federation with all usual rules. And he will cope with this situation", Kudrin said.
Ex-minister said that they have been "long calibrating the amount which provides the normal conditions of life in Chechnya". "After all, it had been agreed as a result of fierce debates. And I think this program should be fulfilled. This is a kind of tribute to the fact that after all there was war, it is a tribute to the people who live there", Kudrin said.
He called the slogan "Stop feed the Caucasus" speculative. "Behind this slogan I see an assumption that the money to finance the Caucasus settle in some bureaucratic or corrupt pockets. I do not think that this is happening more than in other regions of the country. We have other regions - the leaders of such a rating. It's more serious policy with respect to both the regions and the North Caucasus. I do not think we overfeed them", Kudrin stated.
