Iran stops exporting oil to the EU prior to embargo introduction
Iranian MPs have developed a bill to an immediate cessation of oil exports to the EU, the representative of the Parliamentary Committee on Energy Emad Hosseni said, the Interfax reported.
"If the plan is approved, the government will be obliged to stop the oil trade with Europe even before the introduction of the European Union an oil embargo against Iran", he said.
The bill may be tabled in Parliament as early as this Sunday.
On the eve, the Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said the Iranian authorities intend to expand economic cooperation with Russia.
"We are grateful to Russia, because Russia has used its veto power on Syria. We believe that there is a very good opportunity for Russia and Iran to work in economic sectors in Iran, Iraq and Syria", he said at a meeting with the head of Russian Federal Drug Control Service Viktor Ivanov in Moscow.
"There is a very important event in our region - this is happening in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan", said the Iranian minister.
