Medvedev won't shake hands with Saakashvili
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev hopes that the "right of way" between Moscow and the people of Georgia will soon be over, according to RIA Novosti.
"As for the Georgian people as a whole, I would really like to make this "right of way" ended as quickly as possible", the President stated.
"What we've done recently: regular air service restored. Currently, as part of Russia's accession to the WTO, exchange of goods will be more vigorous, we need to simplify human communication, but the counter-actions by the Georgian authorities are also necessary", Medvedev said.
At the same time, the Russian leader has not changed his position with regard to his Georgian counterpart Mikhail Saakashvili.
"We are ready to restore diplomatic relations with Georgia. We have not broken them. There's only one person with whom I would not deal. And won't meet with him and shake hands with him", Medvedev stated.
