The decision to deploy additional units of spetsnaz was made by Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov.
"Following the work visit to the troops of the Southern Military District, Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov decided to place additional military units for special purposes in Stavropol and Kislovodsk in order to further strengthen security in the southern region", Fontanka.Ru quoted office's message.
The fund of housing in these cities can completely provide apartments to officers of new military units, was specified in the release, as RIA Novosti reported.
As noted in the Defense Ministry, as they get new technology, new military units will be created by 2015. At the same time, the total number of armed forces do not increase.
