Unmanned aircraft has killed at least 11 militants in Yemen
Unknown drone aircraft has struck the territory of Yemen killing 11 militants, including members of the international terrorist organization al-Qaeda, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the Reuters.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Monday night. Drone aircraft has delivered a blow on two cars with the participants of illegal armed groups. According to one of the leader of the local tribes, as a result 11 people were killed, including four members of al-Qaeda.
Note that the CIA believes the Yemeni al-Qaeda one of the most dangerous cells of terrorist network. In late September 2011, as a result of U.S. air strike a local leader of al-Qaeda Anwar al-Awlaki was killed. A few months earlier, al-Awlaki has become a "terrorist number one", taking the title after Osama bin Laden, Lenta.ru reported.
November 2010, its leaders took the responsibility for the cargo plane crash in the UAE and for parcels with explosive devices in mail cargos near London and a warehouse in Dubai.
