In Dagestan, participant of execution of Russian soldiers was condemned to life imprisonment
On the eve, January 30, the Supreme Court of Dagestan sentenced the fourth participant execution of six Russian soldiers in the village Tuhchar of Novolaks area in September 1999 to life imprisonment. The convicted, 34-year-old resident of Grozny Mansur Rajaev, was a member of the gang of Umar Karpinski. He got in jail four years ago, but under another case, the Kommersant reported. The state prosecution insisted on life imprisonment.
As recalled by TV channel "Vesti", September 1999, he took part in the execution of soldiers ( they cut the throat of five of them, the sixth was shot dead while trying to escape). At trial, Rajaev said that he personally did not kill the soldiers. Meanwhile, prosecutor presented to the court a video of execution.
According to RIA Novosti, the Supreme Court of the Republic sentenced militant Tamerlan Hasaev to life imprisonment October 2002; in September 2005 - another fighter of the group - Islan Flour - to 25 years in prison. The third militant, convicted in 2009 for taking part in the execution of the military, is Arby Dandanev. The Court has proved Dandanev's personal participation in one of the murders.
