Americans have not allowed the tourists enter the country because of the blog post
U.S. authorities have denied the pair of British tourists entry into the country after they have allowed themselves to make a joke in the microblogging network Twitter, writing the phrase "destroy America", which caught the eye of anti-terrorist unit of the American police, British newspaper The Sun reported.
Messages posted in microblog of British resident Ley van Brian were spotted by police agents a few weeks before he went on holiday in the U.S. Upon arrival to the international airport in Los Angeles, he and his girlfriend were arrested by armed guards, and then interrogated for five hours, then he was handcuffed and placed in a bus with illegal immigrants.
They spent the night in different prisons and then flew home. According to the British tourist, they were treated like real terrorists.
Despite the fact that Brian tried to explain to police that a phrase "destroy America" in the British slang in Twitter mwans a fun travel and revelry.
It was also reported that British tourist was also questioned about another of his jokes in the microblog, which literally meant that on a trip to the United States he was going to dig the grave of Marilyn Monroe. In fact, as Brian explained, he just quoted a phrase from the American animated television comedy "Family Guy".
The police has even checked the luggage of British tourists trying to find the spades. Brian's girlfriend Emily was suspected that she was to perform red herring at a moment when he would be engaged in opening the grave.
"We just wanted to have fun during vacation. That was the meaning of twitter messages of Ley", the edition cited Emily's words, RIA Novosti reported.
