Ukrainian cheese will be banned
This week, Rospotrebnadzor will introduce a ban on the importation of certain cheese products of Ukrainian producers, which does not comply with Russian requirements, into Russia, the head of the agency Gennady Onishchenko stated.
"The authorities of Ukraine have not submit any proposals to normalize the situation after the contact with us, forcing us to begin the removal and prohibition of supply of a number of manufacturers into the territory of Russia starting next week. We'll give appropriate instructions to the customs authorities", Onishchenko said.
He added that Rospotrebnadzor continued to investigate the situation regarding the supply of certain types of dairy products from Ukraine to Russia. "According to the latest data, in a number of Russian regions there have been identified certain cheese products, selected from retailers and which do not meet technical regulations on milk and dairy products approved by the law of the Russian Federation # 88", Onishchenko said, according to the Interfax.
