Moscow and Washington are going to discuss the situation in Iran
Deputy Assistant U.S. Treasury Secretary Daniel Glaser, in charge of combating financial terrorism, will visit Moscow to discuss the situation in Iran, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the statement by U.S. financial agency.
"In Moscow, Glaser will meet with senior government officials, whom he will familiarize with the strategy (of the U.S.) authorities to combat international organized crime and to strengthen cooperation with Russia to protect the international financial system from these threats", said in a statement.
U.S. Treasury notes that during talks in Moscow, they will discuss the issues relating to "a global effort to further development pressure on the Iranian regime to isolate Tehran from the international financial system".
January 14, during a press conference at NATO headquarters, Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin said the conflict with Iran is a direct threat to Russian security, ITAR-TASS reported.
