NATO-Georgia Commission meeting to be held in Krakow

NATO-Georgia Commission meeting will be held tomorrow in Krakow (Poland). At the meeting the details of Georgian integration in the alliance will be discussed. The Georgian delegation is headed by Davit Sikharulidze, the Minister of defense of Georgia.


The Commission meeting will be held in the framework of the unofficial meeting of the NATO member countries Ministers of Defense, aimed to consider the alliance reformation issues.

According to tentative information, besides the issues of Georgia's and Ukraine's joining NATO the prospective of Georgia's involving in the alliance peacemaking operation in Afghanistan.

Davit Sikharulidze is expected to hold a meeting with Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, the Secretary General of NATO.
