US Deputy Secretary of State to visit Georgia this weekend

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon is going to visit Georgia this weekend, the News-Georgia reported. This was announced by the press service of the U.S. embassy on Wednesday, November 14.


"The exact date and the program of Gordon's visit is being specified; tomorrow we will learn the details of the visit of Deputy Secretary of State - with whom he will meet, and what topics of talks", said the representative of the embassy.

Last time Philip Gordon visited Georgia in June 2012, when he accompanied U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Recall, Barack Obama has been re-elected to a second term, defeating Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

America's first black president secured the 270 votes in the electoral college needed to win the race.
