World Bank to allocate USD 70 mln for Georgia

The World Bank (WB) will allocate a USD 70 mln credit to Georgia for repair and modernization of a net of secondary and local highways.


According to the WB message, these funds will be spent on expansion of the previous, analogue project, for which a USD 20 mln credit was allocated in June 2004 - PRIME TASS. The new credit will be allocated in the line of the International Development Association, the agency of the WB, specializing in work with the countries in the most need. Credit payment term is 30 years, with a 5-year delay of payments.
